Welcome to Bungeons Farm

Bungeons Farm is a 10 acre smallholding in Mid Suffolk, home to Sue and Chris Whitton.

We moved here in 2009 and have spent a lot of time refurbishing the buildings, garden and hedgerows. On the farm we keep Canadian Angus cattle, bees, hens, cats and a dog. We have created an organic vegetable garden and plan to expand the orchard. Amongst the outbuildings we are refurbishing, there is a timber framed barn suitable for parties or family gatherings. The barn also has an adjoining kitchen room, a pottery workshop and a small gallery shop.

We are surrounded by old hedges, have two ponds and an abundance of wildlife. We offer a variety of workshops centred around the garden and its produce, including vegetable growing, composting and pruning, working with willow and hazel, making country wines and preserves.

Our Aim...
Our aim at Bungeons Farm is to become less reliant on main services and resources. This involves a number of ongoing projects. These include rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling, treebogs (WET System) power generation, heating, hedgerow management, composting, waste recycling and organic food production. We are trying to implement these projects within the confines of a listed building and its surroundings

Some of these are well under way and others we are still researching. We welcome any input and advice and are happy to share our knowledge and experiences.
